Noli Me Tangere, An Exhibit of Talking Portraits

Touch me not.

Noli Me Tangere.

Touch me.

During the Spanish colonization in the Philippines, the Noli Me Tangere, a novel written by Filipino national hero Jose Rizal, sparked off the revolution against Spain.

In 2014, Guerrero Publishing Inc. launched an audiobook of the classic novel voiced by British actor, Richard E. Grant.

On January 30, the novel was brought to life with an installation of talking portraits at Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City. With the use of conductive ink, a single touch of the portrait activated the speakers which amplified excerpts from the book.

Anna Bigornia, Innovations Director of BBDO Guerrero says “Technology becomes more relevant when it makes a story come to life.”

To enjoy the novel in its new format, download the audiobook on iTunes.
